Vikrant has worked in the film, television, and over-the-top (OTT) industries for about 20 years.

After making his acting debut in the 2007 television series Dhoom Machaao Dhoom, Vikrant Massey went on to appear in a number of other shows, including Qubool Hai, Balika Vadhu (2009–2010), and Dharam Veer (2008).
He appeared in supporting parts in movies like as Half Girlfriend (2017), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), and Lootera (2013).

His career took a significant shift after he starred in A Death in the Gunj (2017). He went on to act in Chhapaak (2020), Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare (2020), Haseen Dillruba (2021), Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi (2021), and Love Hostel (2022).
Vikrant Massey’s contributions to online series such as Criminal Justice (2019), Broken But Beautiful (2018–2019), and Mirzapur (2018) also made an impression.
He won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor in 2023 for playing the lead character of Manoj Kumar Sharma in the movie 12th Fail. Vikrant Massey received a lot of praise for his recent roles in Sector 36 and The Sabarmati Report.

The 37-year-old actor, however, has officially declared his retirement. In his statement, the actor announced that he will be leaving the acting business after starring in two more movies.

But as time goes by, I realize it’s time to return home and reassess. as a father, a husband, and a son. as an actor as well. We would therefore have our final meeting in 2025. Until the time is appropriate. Many years of recollections and the last two films. Again, thank you.

Vikrant Massey is married to fellow actress Sheetal Thakur, and the two of them welcomed a son, Vardaan, into the world in February 2024.
