
On its first day of release, Allu Arjun’s film surpasses RRR and KGF Chapter 2; can it reach ₹200 crore?
The action movie Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Rashmika Mandana and Allu Arjun, is dominating the Indian box office. The movie had the largest opening at the box office in the nation’s history.
Pushpa 2 earned almost ₹165 crore on its first day at the ticket booths and ₹10.1 crore from its preview performances on Wednesday. As a result, on its first day, the movie brought in a total of ₹175.10 crore at the Indian box office.
The Telugu and Hindi versions of the movie earned ₹95.1 and ₹67 crore, respectively. According to the film trade web Sacnilk, the movie’s Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions brought in ₹7 crore, ₹5 crore, and ₹1 crore, respectively.
As a result, the movie has outperformed South Indian blockbusters like Yash-led KGF: Chapter 2 and SS Rajamouli’s RRR on its first day of release.
On its first day, RRR earned ₹133 crore, while KGF: Chapter 2 grossed ₹116 crore. The most recent Allu Arjun movie is currently on track to surpass the ₹200 crore milestone at the domestic box office in the near future.
Additionally, the Hindi version of Pushpa 2: The Rule has outperformed Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 smash Jawan on its first day of release. The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 made ₹6 whereas Jawan minted ₹65.5 crore on its opening day.
The film is having a stupendous run at the overseas box office as well. Pushpa 2 raked in $4 million at the North American box office, as per AA Creations. The film opened to positive reviews at the box office from Allu Arjun fans and cinema lovers alike.
